National medical research from Cane Ridge High School

Our students seem to be on a roll when it comes to presenting at national conferences.

Cane Ridge High School senior JaKala Kimmons has interned at Vanderbilt for two years now, working alongside researchers. Last month she flew to Washingon, D.C. to present to the American Medical Informatics Association.

JaKala and her co-author, Dr. Kim Unertl, presented “Understanding the Workflow of Chemotherapy Infusion Management” on November 19. Their research was accepted for presentation ahead of graduate students and university faculty. In fact, only 41% of submissions to this conference are accepted.

Nice work, JaKala!
