This morning Officers Gary Walsh and Ali Boone were named the first recipients of the Paul Scurry Commemorative Coin Award. The awards ceremony featured all the top brass of MNPD.

They won this award for going beyond the call of duty by investigating a situation with a Hunters Lane student and the student’s family. Their extra mile work made an enormous difference in the lives of several people.

We are proud that their work was recognized today, just as we are proud of all School Resource Officers working in Metro Schools. It gives us great comfort to have such caring and professional officers to help all of us on a daily basis.

Join us in congratulation Officers Walsh and Boone and thanking all Metro SROs!
