PreK Chemistry Day for Encore

There was a lot of early learning happening on Granny White Pike last week.

More than 50 preschoolers from the Encore program at Robertson Academy enjoyed a day of experiments at Chemistry Day. The Vanderbilt Student Volunteers for Science, headed up by Pat Tellinghuisen, met with preschoolers and their parents at Granny White Church of Christ.

And special thanks are due to Bill Hagerty, State Commissioner for Economic and Community Development and Encore parent, who came by to see the experiments and talk to parents.cereal, mixing oil and water and making lava lamps. The students really enjoyed being scientists for a day!
